Fazila Foods recently welcomed the Mayor and Mayoress of Bolton to their head office and manufacturing facility in The Valley, Bolton to hand over a donation to The Mayor’s Charity Fund.

The donation was made following a recent Eid event at Bolton Town Hall, which saw Fazilas’ donate 50% of the sales they made on the day from their stall.

Fazila Malek, Iqbal Patel and Richard Livesey from Fazila Foods welcomed the Mayor Cllr Andrew Morgan and the Mayoress to their headquarters on Wednesday 7th August, where they formally presented a cheque for £250.

The donation will go into the Mayor’s Charity Fund which includes Bolton Hospice, Bolton FM, Bolton Wanderers in the Community and the Darren Deady Foundation.

Cllr Andrew Morgan has been a Trustee at Bolton Hospice since 2010, a Trustee of Bolton FM since 2018 and has a natural affinity with the Darren Deady Foundation, being a Veteran himself.

Alongside receiving the donation, the Mayor and Mayoress enjoyed presentations about Fazila Foods and its history, as well as a factory tour.

Fazila Malek, Director at Fazila Foods, said: “It was a real honour for us to be able to welcome the Mayor and Mayoress of Bolton to Fazilas for what was a really enjoyable morning.

“Not only were we able to hand over a donation to the Mayor’s Charity Fund, but we also got to show the Mayor and the Mayoress around our facilities, and tell them a bit more about what we do.”
